Before our fixations with maximalism, there was minimalism and the fashion faux pas of dressing far more elaborate than occasions called for.
Nobody bats an eye at the layers upon layers we drape over our bodies once the weather drops. Come winter; the excess is acceptable. Necessary, even. There can’t be any harm in adding one more layer.
